Short Term Medical
Short Term Medical (STM) is temporary health insurance. It gives you and your family health protection at an affordable price. If you are between jobs, a college graduate, not yet eligible for Medicare, waiting for group coverage or looking for a substitute for the high cost of COBRA then short term medical would be appropriate for you.

Limited Benefit Health Plans
Limited benefit health plans are another option for your health coverage. They are affordable, flexible and just about anyone will qualify for coverage. There is a preexisting clause meaning any condition or health issue you have now won’t be covered for 12 consecutive months. There are limits to how much they will pay for each procedure or service. These plans are NOT compliant for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act and you might have to pay the penalty for not having a compliant plan as mandated by the Federal Government.

Hospital Indemnity Plans
As anyone who has been subject to medical treatment knows, health care costs can be astronomical. Most plans just don’t provide all of the necessary coverage for out-of-pocket expenses and gaps in insurance.
Unless you have a financial plan that will afford you the extra expense of health care you may find yourself using most, if not all, of your hard earned savings to pay those outstanding medical debts. Most health insurance plans, including major medical, guaranteed acceptance plans and even Medicare usually have deductibles, co-pays, coinsurance and coverage limits. Indemnity insurance should give you peace of mind in the event of a sickness or illness to you or a family member.

Affordable Healthcare
In 2010 Congress passed the PPACA Act (Affordable Care Act) so all Americans could be covered for healthcare regardless of health conditions. This program was rolled out in the fall of 2014.
This program is an income based program, this means the less taxable income you have in a year the less you may have to pay for your premium. This is done by you receiving premium tax credits to help pay your premium. Some people also received cost share reductions that helps reduce deductibles, co-pays and total out of pocket cost. You can usually change you plans in the late fall and early winter each year. After enrollment is over each year, unless you have a special event, you stay in that plan for the remainder of the year.
NOTE: Do to the instability of National Health Care we are NOT going to be in that market for 2018. Most counties in Indiana have only one insurance provider so choices are minimal. You can enroll by going to their website or by phone: 800-318-2596.
We do offer different options for health care coverage. Please contact us for details.
